Boquillas Canyon Trail Map [Big Bend National Park]
A short trail but not to overlook, Boquillas Canyon is a prime example of the desert landscape on the east side of Big Bend National Park. The experience of coming upon wild horses, boquillas rock formations, river wildlife and the beatiful palo verde trees makes this trail unique. I highly recommend standing in the shallow waters of the Rio Grande surrounded by the towering canyon walls and overhearing the canyon wrens songs. This map is a part of a series being created that was inspired by hikes taken at BBNP during an artist residency in Summer 2024.
